Seat: boats on the canals and along the coasts of the East. Grey and blue, no flag. The first touched by the sickness by the eastern waters: the crab men were Shen.

They had an art of the oar and the net. Its masters are dead or became crabs; the art is lost.

Legends

• What the water takes. The Shen say the water has always taken its share, one drowned a year. Since the sickness, one is no longer enough. They blame the river; the Jiang blame the Cult's poisoners; the Qian sell a remedy that cures nothing.
• The water ghost. A ghost of the canals would be the first Shen the sickness took, still looking for his boat.
