The method you practise, beside the stage marks
Cultivation methods
Not a martial art but a way of cultivating: practise one method at a time. Each condenses more Qi in its own places and gives a small effect that grows over three levels.
A method changes the way you cultivate. You practise one at a time. It multiplies what meditation condenses into Qi Max where its element is strong, and gives a small effect that grows at its three levels: level 1 at Qi Condensation, 2 at Foundation Establishment, 3 at Nascent Soul.
| Method | Cultivates | Effect (levels 1 / 2 / 3) |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary Breath | ×1 everywhere | none. Known from the start. |
| Azure Sky Breathing (wind) | ×1.4 from height 100 up, under the open sky | your reserve refills +15 / 25 / 35 % faster out of combat and in meditation |
| Frost Lotus Heart (ice) | ×1.5 in the cold (where it snows, the Tianshan and the Kunlun) | a melee blow you take slows the attacker (Slowness II) for 1 / 1.5 / 2 s, at most once every 8 s |
| Blazing Sun Scripture (fire) | ×1.5 by day, under the sun | from Foundation Establishment, 10 % then 15 % of your blows set the target alight for 3 then 4 s |
Learning and practising
- Read a method's scroll (right-click) to learn it; the scroll is used up. If you already know the method, you keep the scroll.
- On the Cultivation page, a small plate beside the stage marks shows the method you practise; hover it to see what it gives where you stand. Click it to open Cultivation Methods: unknown methods show as "???"; pick one to read its level, what it cultivates, its effect and its gain here, then Practise.
- Changing puts your Qi out of tune for one in-game day (20 minutes): meditation condenses only half as much. The view shows the minutes left.
The three scrolls are only in the creative tab for now: where they are found is not decided yet.
