Tap C to sit in the lotus, tap again to stand. Only on the ground, not in water or riding. Moving, jumping or taking a hit ends it. A 3-second shot circles your body, then you stay in first person, free to look around.

• The reserve fills at 40 % of Qi Max per minute.
• Once it is full, meditation condenses Qi into Qi Max.

Motes of Qi

After 3 seconds seated, motes of Qi gather round you: one every 3.5 s, five at most; they fade after 16 s. Look at one for a moment and it is drawn into you, like an experience orb.

• Each fills 4 % of the reserve; with a full reserve, it counts as 3.5 s more of condensing.
• One in twelve is golden: worth five.
• Catching them all makes meditation about twice as fast. Ignoring them still works.

Places of power

Where you sit matters (only the best applies): a Murim biome ×1.25, above height 140 ×1.5, the inner world ×1.5, within 40 blocks of the Cloud Cliff Sanctuary ×2. Your cultivation method then multiplies what you condense in its own places (up to ×1.5), and halves it for a day after you change method.

Aura

Everyone else sees soft flames all round your body, as big as the Qi you hold (from ×0.6 at 100 Qi to ×1.5 at 90 000). In first person you only see a few embers. Its colour and its touch come from your best-mastered art: red with blood drops for the Sanguine Art, azure with small clouds for the Azure Cloud Sword, amber for the Long Fist, pale gold for the Celestial Peak Spear, green leaves for the Traveller's Staff, stone shards for the Mountain-Shattering Fist, the Big Dipper turning above the head for the Seven Stars, violet sparks for the Thunder Saber, black smoke for the Majin Fist, ringing bells for the Golden Bell, blood-red embers rising from the feet for the Overlord Spear; white with no art.
