Murim plants & herbs
Murim plants & herbs
13 herbs and 30 flowers in 3D, wild in their regions, planted in gardens, harvested for the furnace with their purity.
43 plants modelled in 3D, each growing wild in the biomes of its region. The rarer, the more alive: common ones sway, rare ones breathe and glow, very rare ones give off motes of Qi.
Gathering
- Pick a wild herb: the herb, mature and 70 % pure, sometimes with something to plant. Shears take the plant itself.
- Very rarely a wild herb is already at spirit maturity: it moves, glows, and gives a double, very pure harvest.
Growing
- Plant the seed, bulb, cutting, rhizome or spores on its own soil (the tooltip says which: good earth, sand, wet earth, rock, or still water for the lotus and the water lily).
- Four stages: Seedling, Young, Mature, Spirit maturity. It needs light, the right warmth and, for wet plants, water within 4 blocks. A common plant ripens in about 25 minutes, a rare one in about an hour and a half.
- Spirit maturity only comes on Murim land rich in Qi, twice as fast on a place of power, with no more than 8 plants within 4 blocks.
- Purity rises with each stage grown well: 50 % as a seedling, 90 % or more at spirit maturity. Bone meal hurries a plant to Mature but adds no purity.
- Harvest with an empty hand: flowers, berries and leaves grow back; roots and shoots are pulled up. Sneak and right-click to read its light, warmth, water and purity.
The herbs
- The Central Peaks: Chrysanthemum, Rhododendron, Ginseng, Lingzhi (very rare)
- The Northern Snows: Kunlun Sedge, Snow Lotus
- The Dry Lands: Goji, Sea Buckthorn, Cistanche
- The Humid Lands: Bamboo Shoot, Karst Fern
- The Water Country: Astragalus, Lotus
The flowers
Six a region, from the Peony and the Red Spider Lily to the Himalayan Blue Poppy, the Desert Candle, the Hydrangea and the Water Lily; and everywhere, very rarely, the Udumbara, said to open once every 3 000 years.
