The Murim's money has four kinds, each worth 9 of the one below: Copper Cash → String of Cash → Silver Tael → Gold Yuanbao. At a crafting table, 9 in a 3 × 3 square make 1 of the next, and 1 breaks back into 9. A tael is worth 81 coins.

The tael is the money of trade. Bandits, the Bandit Chief, Crab Men, the Crab King, Sensei Yun, the Captain of the Peak Guard and the Alliance's soldiers and merchant leave some when a player kills them, the chests of the bandit camp and the Alliance Arena hold some, and the Alliance Merchant buys and sells for it.
